Tareq Abedin, md
Dr. Abedin is a native of the Washington DC metropolitan area. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cornell University and obtained his medical degrees from the Medical College of Virginia. He is Board Certified in Pediatrics and board certified in Internal Medicine (adult medicine). Dr Abedin provides care to a diverse range of infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. He enjoys Pediatrics, Preventative Family Medicine/Internal Medicine, Cosmetic Dermatology, Alternative health and Teaching.
Dr. Abedin has also helped pioneer the first hospital interface in the INOVA Healthcare system to Loudoun Hospital, and serves on the Advisory Boards for A4 Healthsystems electronic medical records, and INOVA hospital system's IT committee.
Assistant Clinical Professor, Virginia Commonwealth University - Medical College of Virginia. He received his acupuncture certification from Kiiko Matsumoto at the Harvard Medical School.
Kelly Boardman, MSc, PA-C
Kelly graduated from the University of Virginia after taking the prerequisites for medical school while majoring in Anthropology and minoring in Religion. These areas of study expanded upon both her love of humanity and science. She explored a few professions and cities before returning to medicine and choosing to attend Physician Assistant school at A.T. Still University in Arizona. The school's emphasis on "mind, body, and spirit" fit well in line with Kelly's belief in preventative care and treating the patient as a whole person.
Kelly merges Western medicine concepts with a holistic approach to Pediatrics, Women's Health, and Family Medicine. Kelly has been working with ASIMP for the past 9 years and especially loves helping newborns, kids, and their families find their own path to a happy and healthy life.
Kelly lives in Herndon with her husband and two teenage daughters. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, biking, yoga, camping, traveling and playing soccer.
MARIA IFTIKHAR, PA-C
Maria is a Northern Virginia native who completed her undergraduate degree from George Mason University in 2015. She chose to pursue an education in Physician Assistant studies at Radford University Carilion because of the school’s emphasis on evidence-based medicine and the ability to train in a diverse patient demographic. Maria enjoys the continuity of care that is found in Family Medicine, Women’s Health and Pediatrics.
Maria lives in Falls Church with her husband. In her free time she enjoys exploring the area, trying new places, and spending time with her nieces and nephews
MEGAN KISH, PA-C
Megan grew up in Winchester, Virginia, and she completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia in 2012. She chose to attend the Physician Assistant program at Radford University Carilion for their education revolving around wholesome, patient centered care with an emphasis on evidence based medicine. She has a passion for continuity of care and enjoys all aspects of Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Women’s Health, and Psychiatry. She has previous experience in the specialty of Urogynecology. Megan believes in a holistic approach to medicine and developing relationships with her patients.
Megan lives in the Loudoun area. In her free time, she enjoys weight lifting, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her dog.
Lauren Schaaf, PA-C
Lauren grew up in Minnesota. She completed her undergraduate degree at Christopher Newport University and graduated cum laude with a degree in Neuroscience. She went on to pursue an education in Physician Assistant Studies at Radford University Carilion because of the emphasis on wholistic patient centered care. Lauren found her passion for family medicine in continuity of care and building trust and long-lasting relationships with her patients.
Lauren lives in Fairfax county with her partner and cat. In her free time, she enjoys trying new restaurants, spending time with friends, reading, and gardening.
